 However, Royal Challengers Bengaluru made light work of the target, chasing it down in 16.2 overs with seven wickets to spare.  Sunil Narine was the only bowler to finish with economical figures, returning 1/27 in his four-over spell.

Sunil Narine is playing in his 14th IPL season, and the mystery surrounding his bowling remains unsolved. Amid the carnage caused by Bengaluru batters in the first game, Narine held his own, picking up the wicket of Devdutt Padikkal. Some felt that Rahane waited too long to introduce him into the attack.
